Thank you for your interest and registration for the annual World Latvian Economics and Innovations Forum (WLEIF) which will take place in Riga on Nov. 19, 2020 as sheduled. However, due to the COVID – 19 restrictions declared by the government of Latvia, the Organizing Committee had to change the WLEIF-2020 format to online only.

On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and our partners, we apologize to the 100 plus people, who had registered their interest for in-person attendance.

The program remains unaffected, though. The WLEIF-2020 will start at 14:00 on Thursday, Nov. 19, Riga time and will be streamed online on the www.pleif.lv website.  You can join us starting 13:00, for a “virtual lunch” and view a retrospective of from PLEIF-2019.

In the discussion part, we will review the progress of initiatives from last year’s WLEIF in Valmiera, including Latvia’s brand identity in the world of international business.  Well-informed experts will offer insights into the strategies of Latvia’s post-COVID economic recovery, The Three Seas Initiative and the European Green Deal. The working language of this year’s forum is English. Simultaneous translation into Latvian will be provided by Tulkot.lv. There are no limits for online participation. Please join us for WLEIF on November 19th, from anywhere in the world. You can still register on www.pleif.lv.
